Who is Athlon?

Athlon Sports Communications, Inc., is a 39 year-old Nashville-based publishing company with two major areas of interest: Publishing and Sports Marketing. Athlon Sports publishes 15 preseason sports annuals covering professional and college athletics. These premier publications are sold at newsstands throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. Each publication is cover-customized to highlight regional professional teams and college sports conferences. Athlon is the No. 1 ranked sports annual on retail sales dollars and magazines sold and has developed a unique trade-based sports marketing program designed to assist companies in:

With each of Athlon's products we bring the enormously powerful medium of sports to businesses and their customers. It is through this medium that we partner with our clients to communicate with the hard-to-reach male demographic. The strength of business rests in its people. We will design a communications and promotion campaign for you. Additionally we will provide media support in magazines, television, radio, billboards, direct mail and on the Internet.

Athlon's 15 magazines include: Pro Football, Fantasy Football, National College Football, Southeastern Football, Atlantic Coast Football, Big Ten Football, Big Twelve Football, Eastern Football, Pac Ten Football, Western Football, Baseball, College Basketball, Professional Basketball, Racing and Golf.

In each issue, we challenge our writers and editors to strive to present the dignity of sports, the drama of the games and the souls of the people. With our bold and interesting feature stories and complete statistics, we reach the spectrum of sports fans as well as people fans.
